Informational Updates:

·       Lancaster.offthestreetsnow.com- Michelle Bush

o   Helps people pay their security deposit, as long as they can inform

o If your congregants live outside of Lancaster county, there are also chapters in Middletown & York.

·       Care Portal- Jim Bush

o   An informational meeting to learn more about how we can start our own Care Portal in the Elizabethtown Area.

o   January 23 6:30-8pm.

·       CPOW- Tammi

o   Tours are always available.

o   Clothing donations for the Clothing Barn are by appointment, they are open Wednesdays and Thursdays.

·       Love, Inc- Doug Lamb

o   They moved their offices to Manheim, they’re in walking distance of the Manheim Food Bank now.

·       Safe Families- Steve

o   Have a program available for the school district. A safe place for children to go during crisis.

§  For an example: If a family faces homelessness, the children would go to a Safe Families volunteer their home and family to keep routine in the children’s lives, while the parents figure out stability. The school district will provide transportation to their school so that remains stable as well.

o   Home Builders-partnered with Bethany (only available in Lancaster County)

§  They come in and work with parents to address anything that may need training or assistance with to keep the family together.

o   Renew Program- partnered with Bethany

§  If a family is facing homelessness, they will offer this program to keep the family together. It’s a program that helps parents address issues that may bring upon separation from their children, via children and youth.

·       EACTC- Mason Brown

o   Homework Helpers- help always needed

·       Hope Within- Laurie Reinhart

o   Always open to come to organization

o   Highmark Walk for Healthy Community at HACC, happening in May

o   Have a shop located by their clinic that helps fund it. It’s called The Trove, and they are working on having regularly scheduled hours.

·       UCEA- Doug Lamb

o   Turkey Giveaway was successful. Served more people than they have years before.

·       Updates

o   Hope Community Church will be hosting Worship in the Park on June 1.

o   Etown Mennonite is doing a missions trip to Florida to do construction work at a troubled boys youth camp. They have a breakfast fundraiser happening Saturday morning, 7-10.

o   Carry the Cross- April 18

o   Community Lenten Services- Are they something we want to continue to do? Most likely not, if you are passionate about continuing them, please contact Doug at 717.689.0263.

o   Safe Families would like to have a community meeting to share with the people of the community.
