o Elizabethtown Area Communities That Care- Gail Viscome
§ Opioid Epidemic
§ The Second Chance program with the Borough Poice has been a big blessing to those struggling with addiction in our community.
§ In 2012 they started an Rx Takeback Day
§ On Earth Day this year, they’ll be partnering with Pharmacy Association for a big event to focus around prescription takeback, lockboxes, etc.
§ Buddy Program
§ Looking for more mentors to just be a friend on Thursdays for the Middle School Flex Period. It is labeled as tutoring, but it’s not necessary for you to know the subject matter. It’s just helping kids finish the work that they may be behind on.
§ May 23- kids will share their stories about what helped them turn their academics and life around.
§ After School Girl Programs
§ Mentorship
o The Community Cupboard of Elizabethtown- Doug Lamb
§ Starting a new program where those with special health needs, work with a nutritionist during their cupboard appointment through their healthcare provider at Norlanco.
o The Elizabethtown HUB- Doug Lamb
§ They’re still in transition, but still around.
o ECHOS- Heather Zuppa
§ Winter Shelter
§ Ends April 1st.
§ Already maxed out their numbers from last year.
§ Serving about 60 guests.
§ The community always steps up and provides
§ Homestead Housing Program
§ Veteran, 55+, with disabilities
§ There are 6 apartments available
o Bear Bags- Doug Lamb
§ Food will be delivered soon. Need volunteers to help unload the food.
o Police Chaplaincy- Doug Lamb
§ Looking for Chaplains. Please contact Cheif Mayberry if you’re interested in helping out.
o United Churches Elizabethtown Area- Doug Lamb
§ Transportation Program to help people get to their doctor appointments at Norlanco.
§ 3/17 at 7pm- hear from providers in the community
§ April 7- 4 to 6pm- Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the new CPOW building. Tours will be going on in the new building.
§ Need tenants for the original church building on CPOW and they have available space in the new building.

§ Carry the Cross- April 15th
§ Elizabethtown Block Party
§ Free Food and entertainment for the community.
§ Hopefully coming in the Fall.
§ Looking for funds and to be able to pull this off
o Naaman Center- Peter
§ Provides transportation for their clients.
o Goal Project- Peter
§ Helps to educate churches about addiction
§ Looking for a church to help host healing through recovery workshop. It’s a one-day event 10:30-2, lunch provided. This would be done in late summer/early fall.
o Everence Financial- Lynette Morales
§ Everence Stewardship University will be on Saturday March 5.
§ Tons of breakout sessions available.
§ $39 for a full day of training and lunch

o New Culture- Doug Ruhl
§ 5/7- 11am to 6pm- Celebrate Etown, honors local first responders, leaders, and community changers.
