Informational Updates:

·       Appreciation to Preston VanDeursen, Pastor at Sell Chapel in the Masonic Village, is retiring the middle of the month.

o   Sent him off with a prayer and blessing.

·       EACTC- Gail Viscome

o   Club Ophelia will be starting at Bear Creek

§  They’ll be learning how to manage social media.

§  3 run at Bear Creek and 2 at the Middle School

o   Delores Reidenbach will be partnering with Gail to address mental health with students. Kind of like a support group for teens, where they just get together and talk. Prayers are needed for wisdom on how to get kids there. It’s for Middle School and High School students.

o   Tutoring Program (Homework Helpers)- going well. Middle School kids can come to the cafeteria during Flex, and sometimes after school, on Thursdays. Contact Gail Viscome if you would like to help volunteer.

o   PAYS Survey- Oct. 2021

o   Community Cupboard

§  2022 Stats

·       Served over 1400 families/homes

·       Had 21379 pounds of food donated through food drives. (Does not include individual donations.)

·       Had 2234 hours of volunteering in 2022

o   Jewel David would like to remodel an office for them in the brick building but has been denied the grants they applied for. Pray for funding for that.

o   They were able to get a grant to turn the white house into temporary housing apartments.

o   Hired a new Campus Director- Jackie Lewis

o   Will be recognizing Fred Orth and Vard Gainor for their hard work around the campus on Friday.

o   Turkey/Ham giveaway was successful- we have leftover turkeys if anyone is in need. Please contact the ministerium to get more info.

·       Park Street Chapel

o   Prayer every morning at 6am, and healing prayer Thursday nights.

o   Looking to build a deck out front for handicap access and fellowship.

o   End of January will be having a Bereavement meeting.

·       Caregiver Support Group

o   Second Monday every month (1/9/23) at Trinity Full Gospel at 4pm.

·       Everence

o   Financial classes monthly (free for pastors and their wives).

§  If congregants want to attend there is a $25 fee.

§  Next one is in February at Calvary Church in Lancaster.

·       ECHOs

o   Winter Shelter

§  Doubled bed nights this December from December 2021.

·       Police Chaplaincy

o   Talking about possibly merging with the county chaplaincy. If you are interested in becoming a part of the chaplaincy, contact Chief Mayberry of NW Regional

·       Mt. Calvary Church

o   Closed on Mill Rd Elementary

§  Will be having a prayer and worship service on Sunday night, at the new (for them) building.

·       Prayer Requests

o   Kelly, chaplain at Hershey Med- how can the church help with transportation needs for workers to get to and from work? It’s a great need in the medical field.

·       Upcoming Events

o   Prayer with the Police Chief- January 11 at 6:45am

o   Ministerium Spiritual Enrichment and Light Breakfast- January 19 at LifeGate

o   UCEA delegate meeting- February 16 7pm at CPOW.

o   Community Lenten Services 2023- to be decided in the next few weeks.
