Community Updates:
· Pray for Elizabethtown Borough Police Chief- wisdom with pay for caretaker of therapy dog.
Informational Updates:
· Elizabethtown Area Communities That Care- Gail Viscome
o PAWS and Think Club has grown to over 100 students in 9th to 12th grade.
§ Help spread messages of social norms and make students aware of different courses to take to help out fellow students.
o Scott Tyre-
§ There’s a documentary on his life and how addiction effects the family.
o Turnaround Celebration
§ Was in May, Angela Brown, a former student who went through the program was the speaker.
o Homework Helpers Group
§ Will be meeting today to see how they can improve the after-school homework program.
· United Churches Elizabethtown Area (UCEA)- Doug Lamb
o Community Cupboard- Jackie Lewis
§ 139 Families served in March.
§ 132 Families Served in April, 200+ individuals.
§ Mother’s Day Weekend Food Drive- got 2 pick up trucks full of donations
§ Amazon donated 2 vans worth of items.
§ Jacki- the campus coordinator will be meeting with the Salvation Army in Harrisburg who has a teaching kitchen to see how UCEA can use the kitchen space in the Cupboard.
o Delegate Meeting
§ Music Therapy Organization will be moving into the Brick Building will be sharing.
§ If you’re church is interested in being apart of UCEA as a delegate, please reach out.
· ECHOS- Doug Lamb
o Looking to hire case managers.
· CPOW- Jacki Lewis
o Clothing Barn
o Crisis Housing
§ Submitted permit application and are waiting on the borough.
§ Going to have 4 apartments, one of the apartments will be wheelchair accessible.
o Showers & Laundry
§ Tuesdays there’s a shower trailer that comes and are here for 4 hours for clients to use.
§ Thursdays the winter shelter opens (by appointment only) for clients to use showers and do laundry.
o Breakthrough Music Therapy
§ Just joined the CPOW campus in the brick building and started services in June 1.
§ Serve autistic children in the area.

o Elizabethtown Block Party
§ September 9 1:30pm to 4pm
o Won’t be meeting throughout the summer.
§ Next meeting is September 7th at CPOW at 9am.
o Prayer with the Police Chief 6/7 at Etown Borough Police Station.
